Co-Designed and organised by our JMB Creatives, this festival also brings lots of opportunities for young people aged 26 and under to get involved now.
A YEAR OF YOUNG PEOPLE 2018 EVENT
Jump into the next adventure in the ‘enchanted land’ that inspired the timeless story of Peter Pan. A three day festival by The JMB Creatives.
Dreams for the Future is a massive 3-day celebration inspired by the opening of Moat Brae – Peter Pan’s Enchanted Land, in Dumfries. The keys to Moat Brae have been taken from Captain Hook by the ‘JMB Creatives’ (all aged up to 26) who are planning a Festival that brings a whole new perspective to Dumfries.
Using the power of imagination and a sprinkling of fairy dust, the young people of Dumfries will take over running Moat Brae and invite you to join in the celebrations. If you’re aged 8 – 26 you could be part of this amazing project with fun workshops, brainstorms, commissions and a programme of creative and technical sessions running throughout 2018 to help you prepare. Bring your ideas and enthusiasm and help make Moat Brae a special place for generations of young people into the future.
The result will be a 3-day event at Moat Brae and across Dumfries from Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December 2018 comprising seven different elements:
Schools!, Inspired!, Mutiny!, Shared!, Staged!, a Dramatised Trail and a huge CrocRock! Parade for the whole community, where Peter Pan and Tinker Bell will provide the spark to light up Dumfries for Christmas 2018.
If you are aged 26 or younger and would like to get involved, please contact us by signing up to the JMB Creatives.
