Time: 6.30pm

Margaret Elliott is a local photographer who, following a visit to one of  our open days, has set out on a mammoth project to document the region’s existing architecture designed by Walter Newall.

Margaret is gaining a unique insight into Newall’s work and will share her journey of discovery with you on this special evening at Moat Brae.

Her intention was to help visitors standing in the current ‘shell’ of Moat Brae to imagine how the Georgian house would have looked in its heyday.  Margaret has been able to gain access to the rooms, staircases and special features of the interiors of many of his great homes, farms, public buildings and churches. This fascinating insight is made all the more interesting and unique as most previous explorations of Newall’s work have focussed mainly on the exteriors of his buildings.

You can see a taste of Margaret’s work by clicking here

FREE ENTRY.  This event is organised by Friends of the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust – it would help if you could let them know you are planning to come along by clicking here to email.
