First Children’s Book Festival for Dumfries

We are very excited to announce that Wigtown Book Festival will be bringing a brand new children’s book festival to Dumfries on 7th-9th April 2017.

Named after Nana, the big dog who looks after the children in Peter Pan, Big DoG is an exciting new family festival for Dumfries. Take a lead from some of the nation’s best children’s writers who are hosting a long weekend of fun and magic. It’s the event where everybody has a tale.

You can see the full programme and book tickets by clicking here.

There will also be fringe events run by The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust Youth Forum, including fun workshops and a JM Barrie Tour of The Theatre Royal Dumfries.  Other organisations around Dumfries will also be joining in with events and offers including Bump, Baby & Beyond, Moffat Children’s Choir, Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura, Theatre Royal, Ewart Library and The Robert Burns Film Theatre.
