Pirates at Moat Brae
Our September Open Days have been a great success with visits from pirates, fairies, mermaids, butterflies and even a Neverland tiger! Forty lucky children took part in free Relax Kids sessions which took them on Magical Pirate and Mermaid Adventures. We also had lots of visits from families and people interested in seeing inside Moat Brae. Excitement is building as everyone wants to find out more about our plans for the National Centre for Children’s Literature and Storytelling. Trish Bate added some sparkle with her face painting and Captain Sullivan kept the crocodile at bay.
Thank you to everyone who came along, those who found Tootles, Nibbs, Curly, Slightly and the Twins, and to everyone who donated, bought copies of our books and publications and those who left with tiny bottles of fairy dust from the enchanted land where Peter Pan began.
If you missed this open day, don’t worry, there’s another one on Sunday October 11th. If you would like to support us by donating to our appeal to raise £5.5m please either text ‘Moat 01′ followed by the amount you’d like to give £3, £5, £10 to 70070 or click here to donate.
