moatbrae, June 26, 2013

The gentle evening sunlight cast light and shade enhancing this very special garden on Sunday. Newtonairds in Irongray was opened to the public as part of Scottish Gardens’ to raise funds for Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust. The 120 enthusiasts who attended included some of the county’s renowned gardeners who were fulsome in their praise and admiration for Carol and James Coutts achievement in transforming a nondescript field into such beauty, and a veritable plantsman’s treasure trove, in less than a decade

The PPMBT are greatly indebted to Carol, James and their wonderful support team for all the hard work which made Newtonaird’s Garden Opening so memorable and for once again generously benefitting the Trust from the proceeds which are estimated at over £368.
